So, I am SUPER excited about my upcoming trip to New York City! My mom, my aunt, and I will be heading up there in about 2 weeks to visit some schools and shop (of course)! I have been saving money for a while now so I would have some to spend in the city. I am starting to form a list of items I really want to purchase to keep me on the right track. I have a horrible tendency to impulse buy and end up with no money for the things I really wanted. I thought I would share my wish list for the trip and see what your thoughts were. Are there any items you would add or are really wanting right now? I am totally open to suggestions, but here’s the list so far!
I have halted all my makeup purchasing so I could get some items while in New York. Yes, I can get these things here in Knoxville, but for some reason getting things while in NYC is SO much more exciting! One piece of makeup that I am wanting is a Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks. These are fairly new and come in a variety of colors. I want to pick up a fun springy color that I can wear as a cream blush on my cheeks and a balm/gloss on my lips. I adore multi-use products like this, so I’m really looking forward to getting one!
While in NYC I will probably do LOTS of unnecessary MAC purchasing. One of those items will hopefully be the Sheen Supreme Lipglass in Almond Blossom. Twist-up glosses are my favorites, and I’m thrilled that MAC has come out with a line of them. The Almond Blossom shade is a really light peachy pink with beautiful golden shimmer. I definitely foresee this being a future go-to gloss!
One place that I am most excited about going to is Topshop! I do a lot of online shopping/browsing on their website, and I am obsessed with their stuff! I hope they have their beauty items like nail polish and lip pencils for sale there. That would make me one happy girl! I do want to buy some clothing pieces too, though. Something similar to their Knitted Crochet Sweat in Lime is definitely high priority! It’s enough to keep you warm on breezy days, but it’s light enough to not make you sweat bullets.
I am also really looking forward to going to the Henri Bendel store. I love Henri Bendel jewelry, and I totally think they are investment worthy (but not too much of an investment) pieces. My first pick would be these Bamboo Stacking Rings. I love the look of thin rings staked on top of each other on different fingers. I also love the black and gold paired together! It’s ultra chic and would go with everything in my wardrobe!
WILDFOX Couture is a brand I am currently drooling over. I have never seen t-shirts and sweats look so fashionable! Not only that, their clothes are beyond soft! I have been eying this I Need A Taxi Hippie Crewneck and think it’s completely appropriate to pick up while in the taxi filled city itself! Graphic tees like this are so comfortable and fun to wear. They can be paired with anything from brightly colored jeans to simple black leggings.
The last thing that I REALLY want to get my hands on is this mandarin colored bikini from H&M! I love the orange and bronze together, and I think it would look fabulous with a tan! The design of the top is unique and something I have never seen on anyone before. It is very modern meets beachy chic and I’m obsessed!
